The
Sudden Magical Journey to Enchantment Of A Fantasy Artist

Lillian spending much of her childhood and teen years in a small town in Greece, she was never aware of fairies, elves & all this kind of existence. Nobody had ever talk to her about these charming "little people". Even though Greece has been a land of mythology with many Goddesses & Muses, fantasy has never been available to public at large. Lillian has been drawing from the moment she learned how to hold a pencil! Back to her childhood, as a lonely child in her family ( 8 years apart from her older sister ),
her drawing skills had been developing at an incredible rate by drawing invisible friends to keep her away from that loneliness .
She first studied applied arts in Greece and after she graduated from
a University of London with a Bachelor Degree in Art & Design where she specialized in Fashion Technology & Business.
Though she did study art first, she had never considered herself as an artist. She never felt that
had something to say by painting & drawing a piece of art.
Becoming an Entrepnereur
In 2004 Lillian followed
her present husband to France first and later to an Enchanted
countryside place around Switzerland (Geneva), where she
currently resides. When she became pregnant,
she looked for answers, in several parenting magazines and on
the Internet, to all the questions a parent can have, on
how can women leave the workplace when the babies come into their lifes without
any financial disaster. There was
no any useful and organized information that was quickly and easily accessible
by mothers, so Lillian took her first step into the American "work
at home moms" status. She did what all successful entrepreneurs do - she built a
parenting resourse with all the information a mother would ask for when she has
to choose between her career and her kids. She reasoned that if she needed
comprehensive, easy to use parenting & career information, so did millions
of expectant and new parents, too. Lillian's intuition was right. A Parenting
Online
Magazine , Wathmoms.com was born and so Lillian's son happily started growing near to her,
while his mom was establishing her own home based company. The magazine
launched officially to the english speakers parents readers with its own
domain in 2005 and became popular almost immediately.
The birth of Enchanted Studio
Since 2005, Lillian's magazine has been becoming bigger and bigger
and as it is dedicated to the moms who run or look for a homebased professional
occupation, her artistic background and personality drived her to start an
artistic home business too. Lillian is currently resides with her family in a countryside
house surrounded by an enchanted forest which is a constant source of inspiration to her. Motivated by her love of nature and heavilly influenced by
many great fantasy artists,
she began drawing & painting. She first started creating a small series of
french kid's illustrated books that were distributed to kidden
gardens but soon after, with her husband's support & encouragement,
she followed the same professional path with other fantasy illustrators
and in early 2007, she began her first commercial career in fantasy and
fairy art by selling her artworks within her first official personal online
gallery , Enchanted-Studio.com.
When first Enchanted Studio was launched , Lillian started
taking some personal comissions along with her artworks sales, but soon
after she decided to focus more on her own small business selling products based on her art. However, her fashion studies
& work background drived her to start thinking on her own company's pret-a-porter
line & fashion accessories based on her fantasy art.
Basically, the birth of her son
and the later discovery of fantasy art made Lillian really developpe an incredible passion for it. She has always been into spirituality and mysticism and she is fachinated by the idea that
we can not see everything & there is more of what we can see. This sort of art brought to her a great believe and a
glorious creative imagination. It actually made her way back to her childhood.
Even though she had taken a number of life drawing classes in the past, she remain for the most part a self-taught artist. She loves watercolor and she constantly read books on
several techniques and studies the work of other artists. However, after struggling to find an approach to her art that speaks to her, she has come into her own style. She also developed her own way of using the well known technique of watercolor & salt. She mainly uses watercolor, ink and colored pencil and she plans to explore other mediums such as acrylics in the very near future. She does not keep a sketchbook, neither does a lot of pre-work such as roughs or color studies, and does not ever rework her pieces. When the muse strikes, she usually has a rough idea to what she wants the finished image to look like. Lillian get's her inspiration from almost anything… books, stories, fashion photos & magazines , other artist works, dreaming. She always writing down ideas or collects photos from magazines & books for her next projects.
